Canopy Uniformity — Leveling the Table Before the Flip
A flat canopy is a measurable target, not a vibe. Learn the height-window rule, the flip-readiness checklist, and why an uneven table wastes photons at the exact PPFD you paid to deliver.
Uniformity is a number you can measure
Most growers treat 'even canopy' as a judgment call. Commercially it's a measurement: every apex within a defined height window of the mean, and the canopy plane level enough that PPFD at the top of the tallest cola and the shortest cola differ by less than the light falloff you can tolerate. A practical target is all apices within ±2.5 cm (±1 inch) of the canopy plane at flip. Tighter is better; looser and the stretch will exaggerate it.
